To properly prepare the surface for application, and minimise splitting, swelling, cupping and checking caused by exposure to the sun and rain, first treat with \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.tradepaintdirect.co.uk\/products\/owatrol-seasonite-wood-stabiliser-and-protector\" title=\"Seasonite for new wood\" target=\"_blank\"\u003eSeasonite\u003c\/a\u003e and allow the wood to weather for 6-12 months before applying Textrol.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eWeathered wood surfaces\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAll surfaces must first be clean, dry and free of dirt, grease, grime and mildew. If any mildew is present, treat it with a solution of 1 part bleach to 3 parts water.
