Description

Linitop Primer and Finish is a multi-purpose semi-transparent penetrating wood stain including both primer and topcoat with a matt sheen finish and is suitable for both interior and exterior uses. It is available in 13 different colours and as a penetrating product, it actually impregnates and stains the wood itself, not just the surface.

It is a solvent-based wood stain which is suitable for use on vertical surfaces and its flexibility makes it perfect for use on woods subject to movement in projects for cladding, shutters and doors, fencing and gates.

Linitop Primer and Finish wood stain has 3 main functions – its primary use is as a standalone protective wood stain with a 3-coat application system. Additionally, it can be used as a coloured primer for Linitop Classic and Solid if you want to stain the wood with a penetrating product in addition to just the surface. This will give a deeper and more rich coloured finish than using Linitop Classic or Solid alone. Finally, you can also use Linitop Primer and Finish as a coloured base for clear varnishes such as Vernis and Yacht Vernis. In this case you would use a single coat of Primer and Finish, followed by 2 coats of the varnish.

What can I use Linitop Primer and Finish Wood stain for?

  • Staining sheds and summerhouses
  • Priming wood before using another wood stain – for a richer colour
  • Protecting wood subject to movement
  • Achieving a matt sheen finish with fungicidal protection
  • Creating a coloured base for varnishing boats and other wood surfaces
